Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:

This edition focuses on public entertainment licensing (music and dancing, sports entertainments and open air musical entertainments on private land) but it also covers the licensing of private entertainments (music and dancing), cinemas and theatres. The book takes account of new statutory provisions since the first edition. These include the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 which provides increased powers in relations to raves; the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994 under which licensing in Wales will be exercised by county councils rather than by district councils. Also included is the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994 under which various deregulation orders have been made; and Public Entertainments Licences (Drugs Misuse) Act 1997, which provides powers for the immediate closure of premises with a known drug problem. It also covers new important case law decisions, keeping the reader fully up to date with recent developments.
