Renato de Mori, renowned researcher, professor, and writer on computer science, was born in Milan, Italy, in 1941. He has held appointments at the University of Torino in Italy, and at Concordia University and McGill University in Montreal.de Mori wrote Computer Models of Speech and edited Computer Perceptions and Computer Systems. He has also published more than 100 articles in distinguished professional journals. He is involved internationally with studying technology and its effects upon the future of mankind. He is a Fellow of the IEEE Computing Society and is affiliated with the Association of Computing Machinery, Canadian Artificial Intelligence Society, and the American Association of Artificial Intelligence.
