CHOICE Review

The contributors to this collection of articles are experts in the field of reliability from both academia and industry. The book is divided into four major parts (Introduction to Reliability, Management of Reliability, Engineering for Reliability, and Mathematics of Reliability), and then subdivided into 19 various sections. Some of the section titles are Organizing and Managing the Reliability Functions, Economics of Reliability, Acceptance Testing, Design for People, Failure Analysis Techniques and Applications, Software Reliability, and Mathematical and Statistical Methods and Models. As these topics indicate, this book covers a wide variety of subjects. Each topic is not covered in enough detail for classroom use, but this volume can be used as a reference source for both engineers and managers concerned about reliability. Some of the sections include a few references. Recommended for academic libraries serving engineering and science programs. -S. N. Amirkhanian, Clemson University
