This pamphlet chronicles the realization of Jonathon Hutchinson's "space-for-time" method of museum education from its beginnings in the mid-1880s in the form of a brochure entitled The Centuries , and the subsequent conversion of barns and sheds on his property at Haslemere, Surrey, England into a museum. With a page for each year from 1888 to 1906 and descriptions of the relevant events of each year, the form of the pamphlet honors Hutchison s method of information display. The content is extracted from 'A Country Museum, the rise and progress of Jonathan Hutchison's Educational Museum at Halsmere', by E.W. Swanton , 1947. Drawings are by Paul Dyer.
