Supplement no. 1 to the 50th edition of the List of ship stations (June).
This List is published in two parts as follows: Part A (paper publication). This part contains particulars of those ship stations for which an MMSI number has been notified to the Radiocommunication Bureau, with the exception of pleasure ships (general classification PL). It also contains details of Accounting Authorities and countries responsible for notifications. Part B (CD-ROM publication). This part contains particulars of all ship stations notified to the Bureau, with or without an MMSI number as well as all the information contained in Part A. This is presented in Acrobat PDF format. It also contains a copy of all ship stations in a database format along with an interface, similar to the ITU MARS system (http://www.itu.int/ITU-R/terrestrial/mars/index.asp), which enables users to search for and display particulars and details of ship stations, Accounting Authorities and countries responsible for the notifications. This List is a service publication issued annually by ITU in pursuance of Article 20 of the Radio Regulations. As prescribed in Appendix 16 to the aforementioned Regulations, all stations on board ships for which a GMDSS or Morse radiotelegraph installation is required by international agreement shall be provided with this List.
