CHOICE Review

Whittle, a computer professional, provides a very basic introduction to the many dimensions of the use of the cyberspace tools of e-mail and the World Wide Web, covering social and political as well as technical issues. His book is geared for a reader who has no background in the applications or potential of the tools. It presents a compendium of fundamental information and observations on online communication from a broad variety of sources, but introduces little in the way of new insights about the topic. This introductory work will give the cybernaut novice many ideas to consider in the use of the tools. Appropriate for general and lower-division undergraduate collections. N. J. Johnson; Metropolitan State University
