CHOICE Review

Selecting management training videos is difficult for both librarians and training professionals. Their great cost, a lack of reviewing sources, and variation in quality make Ellet and Winig's book a welcome reference source. Reviews are from Training Media Review (1993- ), a periodical both authors have edited. Entries are written by a trainer or academic practicing in the field and include title, acquisition information, and rating. The thorough index lists title, subject, reviewer, and significant contributors (e.g., Tom Peters, Rosabeth Moss Kanter). An introduction gives tips on how to acquire, evaluate, and use the videos. The large print and clear format are easy to read. Appendixes include highly rated products, producer directory, and a product-by-price list. Although the book is aimed at trainers and development specialists, it would also be useful for business libraries. N. J. Bird Teikyo Post University
