Andrew McGarva is a well-known British potter. He was born in Scotland, trained in England and currently he and his family are living in France where he and his wife run a pottery in an old tile works. Although he spends most of his time producing his own pots, he is also in demand as a demonstrator. He was one of the featured potters at an Aberystwyth International Potters Festival, and has more recently been invited to give a workshop at the French National School of Pottery, the Centre National d'Initiation de Formation et de Perfectionnement de la Poterie et du Gres' at Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye
