Les Tickle is Professor of Education at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. He taught in schools in England and overseas before entering teacher education. He has written books on curriculum, and on teachers' learning, and worked extensively in support of professional development through school based research in both pre-service and in-service courses. He is an activist-scholar, driven by curiosity about and commitment to the teachers and children who work and learn in schools throughout the world.
