Excerpt: ...caskets shall report to the State registrar each sale for the preceding month, on a blank provided for the purpose; provided, however, that no person, firm or corporation selling caskets to dealers or undertakers only shall be required to keep such record, nor shall such report be required from undertakers when they have direct charge of the disposition of a dead body. Every person, firm or corporation selling a casket at retail and not having charge of the disposition of the body, shall enclose within the casket a notice furnished by the State registrar calling attention to the requirements of the law, a blank certificate of death, and the rules and regulations of the State Commissioner of Health concerning the burial or other disposition of a dead body. Bodies--disposition of. Section 10. That if the interment, or other disposition of the body is to be made within the State, the wording of the burial or re-, moval permit may be limited to a statement by the registrar, and over his signature, that a satisfactory certificate of death having been filed with him, as required by law, permission is granted to inter, remove, or dispose otherwise of the body, stating the name, age, sex, cause of death, and other necessary details upon the form prescribed by the State registrar.
