He is also a visiting prof. at the Institute of Energy at Cardiff Univ. Prior to that, until end of October 2012, he was a Sr Research Fellow/Reader at the Institute of Energy, Cardiff Univ., UK. He is a Fellow of IET, UK; IESL, Sri Lanka and a senior member of IEEE. He is also recognised as an IEEE PES distinguished lecturer.
